Wednesday

This is becoming an 'interesting' week...

Well my little 'project' that I started yesterday was taking way too long, and I was starting to feel way too guilty about the amount of electricity I was wasting in doing it, so I gave it up in the afternoon after much deliberation, and watched a cat fight...literally.

There is a black and white cat that has been stalking out our garden for the last few weeks, he pops in at about 9am, sits on the same spot on our decking and stares.....at a twig......for 8 hours! This twig isn't even particularly interesting, as global warming hasn't destroyed the ecosystem in our garden just yet, there isn't any peach blossom out on next door's tree, from which the twig dangles from, so he can't be staring at that, unless he is waiting for the blossom to come out. Anyway today he was out there again, but he was joined by....dum dum daaaaaam.. a rival cat! This ones alot bigger than him, but he's almost completely white with a couple of brown splodges, so hiding in the snow is pretty much out for him! This didn't please twig-cat and thus started a staring contest that actually lasted 10 minutes, by which point i don't think any of them blinked. Eventually the white cat slowly walked off, followed by the twig-cat (just to make sure he's gone), so expect fireworks when they come together next time!

I really need a hobby, or a life, or a decent job!

That was really the highlight of the day, although I did have a false dawn in the morning when I thought i was fully recovered from the operation, only to have it cruelly taken away in the afternoon with 4 blood clots, mmm nice! Hopefully I'll be feeling better by the end of the week, otherwise I'll have to have another week off, oh dear how sad!

Had some good post as well, Christies sent me through an inventory of all the items I have put up for auction. The catalogue is going to be sent as soon as its been run off, but its all gornw-up and official now, and the reserve price makes it all worth while, so with a 2 day trip to london and my very first auction, its a massive win-win situation, woohoo!
