.....Wait!
Ah ha, see what I did there?
Now, hopefully you haven't noticed that I haven't blogged for a while, but I have been stupidly busy at work, and not a fat lot has been happening, so this will be a short update (woohoo!). In case you haven't noticed I've not updated my blog, I shall endeavour to trick your mind into thinking that this blog was written on Thursday, like......so.
There, hoodwink complete, on with the blog!
The remainder of the week was as dull as it normally is at work, but the weekend brought a social event, yes dear readers, the Beagle actually went out for the night! It was Jess' birthday, so we all went up to hurst street for a good ole bop. Somehow I had managed to get the amount of people actually going to the night out from 11 to 3, without actually trying, which is some effort, you have to say, but these things come to try us and we got the old dunkirk spirit, last seen at the beer keller, out for the night, and a thoroughly good night it was too. We went to reflex, which, for those of you who know me, is pretty much what you imagine my head would look like if it were a disco!
Ben left at about 12-ish and as reported in Gareths blog, we all ended up in legs 11 at about half 2! (well Jess did ask us to go, it would be rude not to!). Now the rest of the nights intrigue is best left up to pure guesswork. If you have spoken to Gareth about how much he spent, and in what time frame, and you are happy to go along with it, then fine. If, however, you want the actual amount he spent, and the real time he was in there, then ask me, as he kept on blurting out how much he had spent inbetween the 'oh my god' and the 'bloody hell mate'! But who am I to say exactly what he told me, Jess and Paul several times in the early hours of that morning.....
This week has been a busy old one at work, so much so that I've hardly had time to look for a new job! (yes, THAT busy!), however I did manage to go and see Villa play their second leg of the qualifying round in the uefa cup against that silly named team. It was a very dull affair, that ended up 1.1, there were some bright performances by a few of the fringe players for villa, and the icelandic electricians, plumbers and teachers will be delighted with the way they played, and the fact that got a chance to come to a premier league ground. The crowd even gave them a standing ovation at the end of the game, which is great, but the really great story is the fact that we have a team we can both say and spell in the next round, Litex Lovech, a Bulgarian team, who we should get past to go through to the group stages, where the competition really gets going.
Until I blog again in a week (2 days), ttfn!
