Happy 2000-and-gr8!
Ok, rubbish title, but I get points for trying at least!
Hope you had a great New Year, and hope that the mother of all hangovers has finally worn off, as you are all finally back to work, and all the pleasures that it entails!
The last post was a rushed job, mainly as I knew this one would be a short-arse too, so here it is!
The remainder of the festive season was spent working, which is as dull as it gets really, so we shall skip past the monotony of being just below the bottom rung of the career ladder, and look forward to a new, fresh, fairly exciting new year.
As the new year dawned on us all, the realisation that our big holiday was just a couple of months away dawmed on us like a big rock over Wile E Coyote (eep!). We have been able to have a look at some of the excursions we can book ourselves on. Now, a common theme running through all the caribbean islands is the fact that every trip, and I do mean every trip, has free rum served before, during, and/or after the excursion, which makes you realise just why the people in the caribbean are just so laid back all the time!
We've decided on some of the trips we intend to go on, mainly those that take in most of what the respective islands has to offer. Most of these trips are about 3-4 hours long, which is good, as you don't want to be on a trip all day every day, you need some time to yourself to have a wander round the island at your own pace. We have also made it our mission to go out on a boat and see the dolphins and whales. We'll probably not see any, but the experience of going out to find them will be th experience in itself, and of course there is rum on board ship, so we might not even care!
Its also the time of year to make (and break) new years resolutions, and mine is a fairly simple affair this year. I simply need to have some belief in my own abilities and take as many chances that are presented to me, which sounds fairly simple, but I've not done that in recent years, and have suffered as a consequence.
Finally a special mention to my number 1 fan. Some know him as Giraffe, others know him simply as Mutual Paw, which makes it even more obvious to me who the fella is. Happy New Year to you, the inbred who reassures every single person reading this blog, that they are at least one step higher in the food chain than someone else!
And a Very Happy New Year to the rest of you, ta-ta!
